Intercity Hotel

In Vientiane for an Australian Rules Football tournament so decided to splurge and stay in the classy, expensive team hotel. The expensive part was right. USD38/night. The lobby is nice, filled with antiques and other "Lao" stuff, suggesting rooms with similar class. Not so much. The rooms are spacious, but lack personality. Reasonably clean, but not USD38 worth. The large-faced shower head looked promising, but the shower lacked pressure. There must be better places to stay in town if you want to spend that much. I moved to the Mixok Guesthouse after the tourney was over.
