So, decided to try somewhere new, other than Suk 11. Glad I did. They had a seal on Agoda where I could get a free upgrade to a superior room from an standard (like USD24). I had read (www.tripadvisor.com) that the superior rooms were pretty nice but the economy rooms were crap. So I went for it.
Totally happy. Service was good. Room was clean, modern. Big flat screen on the wall (though high ratio of arabic stations. No worries, trade off for having shwarma close by). Modern bathroom. Big windows, but parking lot view.
It was a little farther from Sukhumvit than I would have wanted, but not too far. The swimming pool was small but perfect as I was there for an athletic event and the saturday night swim felt great.
At the same price, I'd stay here again.
